Training On Management Information System And Documentation.

A Training on Management Information System (MIS) and Documentation was held at KROSS Resource Centre on 26th April 2018 in which 61 participants from all over the State participated.

In his opening address, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes remarked that we in the social development sector are today doing good work but we lack in documenting the work that we do. He said, it’s important that the work we do in the field is well documented so that people know the work that we do and the changes that has been brought in the lives of the people whom we serve. We have to learn new techniques as due to widespread information technology what we learn today becomes outdated the next day. Also the Management has to be kept updated on day to day basis of the development in the field so that the data base in the Office is kept updated which helps the Management in providing timely information to the agencies and also in internal evaluation and course correction.

Mr. Durgadas Muchoor, Karnataka State Trainers’ Collective, Mangalore facilitated the training with hands on exercise and helped the participants to use modern techniques for reporting and documentation.

Mr. G. M. Varghese, Program Officer, KROSS introduced the Resource Person and Mr. Venkataramareddy, BMSSS, Bengaluru welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
