KROSS GOVERNING BOARD MEETING - 21st FEBRUARY 2019

The Governing Board Meeting commenced with a prayer led by Rev. Fr. Chourappa, Director, BDDS, Ballari.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi & President, KROSS welcomed Mr. Robert D’souza, State Officer, Caritas India, Fr. Faustine Lobo, Coordinator, KRPPIC, Governing Board Members and the KROSS Team. He said it is good to attend the meeting to know of the activities being conducted and requested the members to provide suggestions for fruitful implementation of the projects.

The Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS presented the minutes of the previous meeting which was held on 21.11.2018 and the house unanimously accepted the minutes. The minutes were proposed for passing by Fr. Abraham Areeparambil, Director, MSSS - Bhadravathy duly seconded by Fr. Clifford Roshan Pinto, Director, SMSSS -Shivamogga.

The Manager-Program Support/Project Officers of KROSS then presented the report of the programmes implemented by the 14 Diocesan Social Work Societies in the State of Karnataka. The Members appreciated the reports presented and gave hints and suggestions which were accepted.

Mr. Robert D’souza, State Officer, Caritas India presented the projects being implemented by Caritas India in Karnataka through the Diocesan Social Work Societies.

Fr. Staney D’Almeida, Director, ODP, Mysuru informed the house of the progress in the rehabilitation by way of livelihood through income generating activity and farming undertaken by the flood affected families of Kodagu with the support of Donors.

The President thanked all the Members for their presence, active participation and suggestions. He also thanked the Director, KROSS & Team for their efforts.

The Director, KROSS thanked the Bishop for his valuable contribution and suggestions. He also thanked all the Diocesan Social Work Directors, their Staff and the KROSS Team.
