FLOOD-2019 RELIEF AND REHABILITATION

In August 2019 due to incessant rains and overflowing of dams, Karnataka witnessed an unprecedented flood situation which destroyed infrastructure, killing livestock and taking the lives of a few people. KROSS visited the affected areas and arranged immediate relief. In the second phase, two neediest families from Kallol village, Chikodi taluk, Belagavi district were identified for construction of new houses.

The Franciscan Sisters of Mary - Karnataka (Franciscan Missionaries of Mary) rose up to the occasion and supported for the house construction of two beneficiaries namely:

1. Mrs. Kanchana Singhe
2. Mrs. Sarojini Doddamani

The new houses were blessed by Most. Rev. Dr. Derek Fernandes, Bishop of Belagavi and inaugurated & handed over by Rev. Sr. Mary John, Provincial, FMM & Rev. Sr. Mabel, Bursar, FMM in the presence of:
