KROSS ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING

Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS) held its Annual General Body Meeting at KROSS Resource Centre on 26th September, 2018.

The Meeting commenced with a Hymn, Gospel Reading and Prayer led by Fr. Marcel Pinto, Director, CMSSS, Hassan.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi and President, KROSS welcomed the Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Bernard Moras who was being wished and thanked by the Members on his retirement, Diocesan Social Work Directors, Board Members and the KROSS Team. He appreciated the presence of the Members and requested them to deliberate on the reports and give their opinion and suggestions for better execution of the programs.

A brief program was held to bid farewell to Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Bernard Moras and was then honoured with a shawl and memento.

The KROSS Annual Report 2017-18 was released by Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Bernard Moras, Dr. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi and President, KROSS and Dr. Maya Mascarenhas. All present appreciated the Annual Report and congratulated KROSS Team for the good work done.

The Secretary/Treasurer, KROSS read the minutes of the previous meeting which were considered and unanimously agreed. The minutes were then proposed to be passed by Fr. Oswald Monteiro, Director, CODP, Mangaluru and seconded by Fr. Staney D’Almeda, Director, ODP, Mysuru.

The Program Managers/Project Officers presented their reports which were appreciated by the members and they clarified certain issues and gave suggestions for better implementation of the programs.

The Manager Finance presented the Annual Accounts which were deliberated upon and unanimously agreed. The Accounts were then proposed to be passed by Fr. Clifford Roshan Pinto and seconded by Fr. Oswald Monteiro, Director, CODP, Mangaluru.

The President on behalf of the board thanked Archbishop Emeritus Dr. Bernard Moras for his support, guidance and encouragement. He also thanked the State & Central Government Agencies, the Donors for their support. He had a special word of appreciation for the Diocesan Social Work Directors & their Team for implementing the programs in the field. He appreciated and thanked the efforts of the KROSS Director & Team who carry the programs forwards very professionally, submit timely reports, support the Operating Partners in executing the programs and prepare new project proposals and approach donors for support.

Fr. Staney D’Almeda, Director, ODP, Mysuru then thanked the President, KROSS for his simplicity, support, timely guidance, inspiration and commitment.

The meeting ended with the Director, KROSS once again thanking each and every one present.
