KROSS ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING - 5th AUGUST 2019

Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS) held its Annual General Body Meeting at KROSS Resource cum Training Centre on 5th August 2019

The Meeting commenced with a Hymn, Gospel Reading and Prayer led by Fr. Abraham Areeparambil, Director, MSSS-Bhadravathi.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi and President, KROSS welcomed Most Rev. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru and Vice President, KROSS, the General Body Members, Diocesan Social Work Directors and the KROSS Team. The three newly appointed Diocesan Social Work Directors, Fr. Yaggappa, BDDS-Ballari, Fr. Binoy A. J., DKRDS-Belthangady and Fr. Alex Prashant Sequeira, ODP-Mysuru who were attending the meeting for the first time were welcomed with a bouquet of flowers. He appreciated and thanked the Members for being present and requested them to deliberate on the reports and give their opinion and suggestions for better execution of the programs.

Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS read the minutes of the previous meeting which were deliberated, unanimously agreed and then proposed to be passed by the General Body Members, Mr. Robinson D’souza and seconded by Ms Caroline Fernandes.

The Program Managers/Project Officers presented their reports which were appreciated by the members and they clarified certain issues and gave suggestions for better implementation of the programs.

The Manager Finance presented the Annual Accounts which were deliberated upon and unanimously agreed. The Accounts were then proposed to be passed by the General Body Members, Mr. Robinson D’souza and seconded by Mr. Joseph Stanley.

The KROSS Annual Report 2018-19 was jointly released by the newly appointed Diocesan Social Work Directors, Fr. Michael Pinto, KDDC-Karwar, Fr. Yagappa, BDDS-Ballari, Fr. Binoy A. J., DKRDS-Belthangady and Fr. Alex Prashant Sequeira, ODP-Mysuru. The members appreciated the Annual Report and congratulated KROSS Team for the good work done.

Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru and Vice President, KROSS proposed the vote of thanks and said he firstly thanked the Almighty for his benevolence and for choosing us as his agents for working for the downtrodden. He thanked the President for being an inspiration to us all. He had a special word of thanks to the General Body Members, a word of appreciation for the Diocesan Social Work Directors & their Team for implementing the programs and thanked the KROSS Director & Team who facilitate the programs very professionally. He also thanked the State & Central Government Agencies and the Donors for their support.

The President thanked the Vice President and the meeting ended with a prayer.
