Training On Participatory Approach To Development

On 26th October, 2017, KROSS organized a training on Participatory Approach to Development at KROSS Resource Centre, Bengaluru in which 60 participants from all over Karnataka State participated.

Mr. Clement Fernandes, Manager-Program Support, KROSS welcomed the gathering and said that only when we facilitate community participation in all developmental programs and local governance, then only will it be possible to make democracy a reality.

Advocate, Sr. Juliet Cutinha facilitated the day’s training. She gave real life examples of how people’s participation can make development a reality. Through group discussions she brought out from the participants themselves the action that they would put in place to sustain participatory approach in development. She said that the participants must be observant, study, prepare action plan, implement and evaluate so that they succeed in their goal towards development.

Ms Pusphalatha, Coordinator, BMSSS, Bengaluru moderated the day’s session and Mr. Peter D’Souza, Community Organizer, CODP, Manguluru proposed the vote of thanks.
