KROSS Launches Project ‘PAUSTIK’–III to Prevent and Mitigate Malnourishment among Children, Adolescent Girls, Pregnant Women and Lactating Mothers in Villages of North Karnataka on January 12 th 2022

The PAUSTIK III Program formally launched and had two days orientation at KROSS Resource cum Training Centre, Bengaluru on January 12 th & 13th 2022 which was attended by the three Coordinators and 13 Animators from the three implementing partners, BDDS-Ballari, BDSSS-Belagavi and SSDS-Kalaburgi. The Meeting was presided over by Rev.Fr. Richard Pais, Director-KROSS and managed by Mr. Varghese, Programme Officer-PAUSTIK.

Mr. Krishnamoorthy from Directorate of Health and Family Welfare,Government of Karnataka was present and facilitated the sessions.

Mr. Varghese welcomed all present and explained what would be the agenda over the next two days. The Director-KROSS in his inaugural address said that we need to put our heart and soul for the success of the programme, we are here not only to show some results but also express our empathy towards the beneficiaries, i.e., the Severely Acute and Moderately Acute Malnourished Children and also to illustrate our commitment towards the Pregnant Women, Lactating Mothers and Adolescent Girls. When we do good work we have to face lot of hurdles, be prepared for overcoming fromit.

The goal, objectives, activities strategies and expected results of the new project were presented to the implementing team and discussed in depth. The reporting forms were devised with the participants.

The action plan for one year was drawn and presented by the three Coordinators which were discussed, debated and feedback and suggestions were provided on how we could to get more results. After every presentation, the other two implementing partners’ staff sought clarifications which were beneficial in cross learning and enabling them to replicate the best practices in their implementing area. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by the project Officer Mr.Varghese G.M.
