WOMEN IN MICRO ENTERPRISES

SAMRUDI RURAL UPLIFTMENT FOUNDATION

Incorporated as a company u/s 25 of Indian Companies Act 1956, on 13th February 2012.
Over 35-40% of the rural population in India are unemployed or underemployed which is the primary cause of the poverty
EDP ( Entrepreneurship Development Programs), EAP (Employee Assistance Program) and Skill Development Programs are provided by KROSS and its 14 Diocesan
This is to motivate them to involve themselves in sustainable livelihood activities and make microenterprise an important and integral component of sustainable livelihood programs in
    rural India and thereby move a step towards poverty alleviation.


ACTIVITY DETAILS

Trade units like : Grocery Shop, Petty Shop, Bangle Selling, Clothes Selling , Flour Sale, Vegetable Selling, Fruits Sale, Flower Stall, Pan Shop, Bricks Making, Tea Shop, Agarbatti ,Footwear Shop, Stationary Shop ,Candle Shop, Meat Shop, Rice Business, Printing Press, Wood Business Pickle Sale, Papad Making ,Candle Business, Coconut Business ,Tent House, Basket Weaving, Bed/Pillow Stitching, Dry Chilly Business , Fancy Shop , Jasmine Sale.
Service units like : Tailoring, Auto, Beauty Parlor ,Carpentry, Mechanic, Building Centering, Medical Shop, Embroidery , Hotel , Painting Machine.
Animal husbandry like : Dairy Farming, Sheep Rearing, Piggery, Cattle Dung Making/Compost and Poultry .


GOAL

To see that the members of 800 democratically-governed women’s organizations. In Karnataka own and control their institutions, resources and programs, challenge unequal power relations and unjust social conditions and demand their rights. It also aims to attain the economic development of 6,000 women entrepreneurs and improve the living standards of 30,000 people in the state of Karnataka.


OBJECTIVES

Every year 500 women belonging to 800 SHGs in Karnataka will gain capacity and receive business counseling.  
Every year 500 women entrepreneurs will be technically and financially supported so that they can raise their individual income by Rs. 1,500/- per month.
To promote 500 entrepreneurs every year.
