Review cum capacity building

Women Empowerment Program Review Meeting took place at the KROSS Resource cum Training Centre in Bengaluru on August 30th and 31st, 2023. Fourteen DSSSs Coordinators and two Animators from 14 DSSSs attended the meeting. Rev. Fr. Richard Pais, Director of KROSS, facilitated the meeting, and it was coordinated by Sr. Nancy Lobo and Mrs. Laina Lasrado, Program Officers for the Women Empowerment Program.

The MSSS coordinator Ms. Nischitha welcomed everyone and explained the agenda of the two days meeting. Director-KROSS delivered an introductory talk, engaged in an interactive session, and clarified the objectives of the review meeting.

The 14 DSSSs Coordinators presented their reports, leading to numerous questions, discussions, feedback, and suggestions on improving the program's work and sustainability. After each presentation, the staff from the other two implementing partners sought clarifications, enabling them to explore alternative problem-solving approaches.

Sr. Nancy, the program coordinator, shared some important insights from the review meeting reports for learning and implementation in future projects. The CMSSS Coordinator concluded the day's meeting by expressing gratitude to all the members.

On August 31st, 2023, the program began with a prayer led by CODP staff. KDDC, JVSSS, and KIDS staff presented reports from the previous day, and participants recapped the proceedings. Later, there was a brief session on the community-led approach from the KROSS Director.

Sr. Nancy, the program coordinator, instructed all DSSSs staff to prepare action plans for the next four months, and subsequently, all DSSSs members presented their action plans with expected results.

Mrs. Laina Lasrado, the program coordinator, highlighted important aspects of the WEP program. The day concluded with a vote of thanks by the ODP coordinator to all the members.
