STATE LEVEL WOMEN FEDERATION

A Capacity Enhancement Program for federation members at Regional Resource Centre, Bengaluru on August 29,2023 was organized by KROSS for the representatives of federations. About 73 participants from 14 partner organizations benefited from it. The day started with a prayer led by CMSSS staff, followed by a warm welcome by Mrs. Laina Lasrado, the WEP Coordinator KROSS, to the resource persons Professor Rita Noronha, Sr. Evelyn Bennis and Fr. Richard Pais, Director KROSS and the federation members.

Fr. Richard Pais, Director KROSS expressed his appreciation for the federation members and thanked Professor Rita Noronha for accepting our invitation to facilitate the training program. He encouraged everyone to make use of the opportunities provided to them.

The highlights of the day were the session conducted by Prof. Rita Noronha on local leadership. She conducted the session in participatory way that all the participants actively took part and contributed their reflection. She engaged the participants in group activity to illicit responses from them. She explained them various types of leadership theories and its effectiveness in the community.

Fr. Richard Pais emphasized on the role and importance of women leaders in the State Level Federations.

Sr. Nancy, the State Coordinator, explained Goal and objectives of the women empowerment program. She divided coordinators and animators into groups to prepare training modules for trainings at field level. Each group presented the draft modules, showcasing creativity and dedication.

The day ended with representatives from five DSSSs sharing their learnings from the day’s session. Mrs. Lydia Moras, the CODP Coordinator, thanked Professor Rita Noronha, Sr. Evelyn Bennis, the KROSS Director and the team and all the participants for their contributions for the success of the day.
