Women Empowerment Programme Coordinators Virtual Meeting

The virtual meeting commenced at 10:00 AM with a prayer song led by Mrs. Bhagya Mary, the WEP Coordinator at CMSSS. Subsequently, warm welcome extended by Mrs. Lydia Moras, WEP Coordinator at CODP, to Fr. Richard Pais, Director of KROSS, and Sr. Nancy Lobo & Mrs. Laina Lasrado, the WEP State Coordinator and also to all the 14 DSSS Coordinators & Animators.

Fr. Richard Pais, the Director of KROSS, set the tone for the meeting by greeting everyone and providing an overview of the meeting's objectives. He then went on to elucidate important details concerning the TLF, DLF, and Gender Team training budgets, ensuring that all coordinators had a clear understanding. In addition, he emphasized the coordinators' role in the upcoming training sessions and encouraged them to contact the DSSS finance officer and KROSS finance officer if they had any doubts regarding the budget.

The State Coordinator took the floor and made several important announcements. Firstly, starting from this month, all monthly reports, TA format, and timesheets should no longer mention the Director's name; instead, they should indicate "DSSS Monitor." Furthermore, she emphasized that all timesheets must be in landscape orientation, not portrait. Detailed provisions regarding banners were also explained to the coordinators.

A matter of concern was raised by the State Coordinator regarding the preparation of training modules. The due date for submission had been set as the 15th of September, and at that point, only three DSSS (SMSSS, KDDC, and BDSSS) had submitted their modules. The remaining DSSS requested an extension to complete their modules, and a fruitful discussion ensued.

Mr. Ramesh, the BMSSS coordinator, raised a question regarding TA (Travel Allowance), which was promptly addressed and clarified. Sr. Nancy extended her best wishes to the four DSSS organizations (ODP, CODP, KDDC, and BDDS) that were hosting the training on Panchayat Raj. Adding to this, Mrs. Laina encouraged all members to submit the report of the cluster-level training immediately after the program and share all related photos in the WEP WhatsApp group.

Towards the end of the meeting, the State Coordinator introduced Ms. Monica, new documentation officer KROSS, to all present. The meeting was brought to a close at 10:45 AM with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Nischitha, the MSSS Coordinator, expressing gratitude for the fruitful discussion and cooperation exhibited throughout the session.
