The Canara Organization for Development & Peace (CODP) was registered as the developmental organ of the Diocese of Mangalore on 16th April 1974 with a view to cater to the needs of the poor and marginalized, irrespective of caste, colour and creed. This was done in order to streamline and to co-ordinate all developmental activities and to give the work a scientific approach and a new dimension.

Vision: A society of justice, peace and love where people live with dignity and in communion with self, neighbour, cosmos and God.

Mission:Restoration of human dignity to the poor, the marginalized and deprived through the Process of empowerment and by promoting sustainable environment.

Goal: Establishment of a just & peaceful society.
