The Dakshina Kannada Rural Development Society (DKRDS) is the official social work wing of the Diocese of Belthangady established on 21st of January 1983 under the Karnataka Societies registration Act 1960 with the registration No. DKM-S-92-1982-83 to coordinate the rural developmental activities and to reach out to the less privileged sections of the society. It covers the three revenue Districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu.

Vision: A Just society based on love, equality and human dignity.

Mission: Empowerment of the poor and the marginalized by restoring the human dignity.
