Workshop For Preparation Of Bye-Laws For Women'S Federation.

The 3rd Workshop for finalizing the Federation Bye-laws for the Taluk & District level was held at KROSS Resource Centre on 24th & 25th April, 2018 in which 48 participants from the Diocesan Social Service Societies (DSSSs) and representatives of the Federations participated and finalized the bye-laws.

Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Director, KROSS in his address reminded the participants that for the past two years, we as a team have formulated the bye-laws and have patiently field tested the same and now we have come together to finalize them. It is a good opportunity as we now have created a platform for us where we can jointly lobby and take up women centric issues. Hence forth our approach should be rights based and we have to champion the cause of women and see that there is zero tolerance for crime towards women.

Mr. Chand Peer from Indian Social Institute, Bengaluru facilitated the workshop and shared his experience of the past 30 years from all over the country thereby motivating the DSSSs Staff and the representatives of the Federations to defend the rights of the women through creating a broader network for advocacy and lobby.

Mr. G. M. Varghese, Program Officer, KROSS introduced the Resource Person and welcomed the participants. Mr. Suresh, Animator, JVSSS, Bhadravathi proposed the vote of thanks.
