KROSS GOVERNING BOARD MEETING - 5Th AUGUST 2019

The KROSS Governing Board Meeting was convened in KROSS Resource cum Training Centre, Bengaluru on 5th August 2019 with a prayer led by Fr. Clifford Pinto, Director, SMSSS-Shivamogga.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo, Bishop of Udupi & President, KROSS welcomed Rt. Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru & Vice-President, KROSS, Mr. J. Alexander & Prof. Rita Noronha, Board Members, Fr. Faustine Lobo, Coordinator, KRPPIC, Diocesan Social Work Directors, Director, KROSS and Team. He said that we are entrusted with a mandate to work for the greater glory of God and each one of us is called to discharge our duty responsibly. He requested the members to actively participate and give their ideas for fruitful and better implementation of the projects. He requested the Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS to present the minutes of the previous meeting.

Fr. Sebastian Fernandes, Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS presented the minutes of the previous Governing Board Meeting which was held on 16.05.2019. The house after a brief deliberation, unanimously accepted the minutes which was then proposed to be passed by Fr. Reginald Pinto, Director, Sampada-Udupi and seconded by Fr. Abraham Areeparambil, Director, MSSS-Bhadravathi.

This was followed by presentation of the work reports by the Manager-Program Support/Project Officers of KROSS, of the programmes being implemented by the 14 Diocesan Social Work Societies in the State of Karnataka and facilitated by KROSS. The reports were appreciated and the Members provided suggestions which were accepted.

The Manager-Finance presented the Annual Audited Account 2018-19. There were a few clarifications sought and after which it was unanimously accepted and proposed to be passed by Fr. Clifford Pinto, Director, SMSSS-Shivamogga and seconded by Fr. Abraham Areeparambil, Director, MSSS-Bhadravathi.

Rt. Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru & Vice-President, KROSS proposed the vote of thanks and said that first of all he thanks the Almighty God who has provided us with the opportunity to carry on this social apostolate. He in a very special manner thanked the President, KROSS and the other members present for their suggestions in implementing the programs and wished the Diocesan Social Work Directors all the best in their programs. The President then thanked the Vice President and ended the meeting with a short prayer.
