The KROSS Governing Board Meeting was convened at The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society, Shivamogga on 09 February 2021 with a prayer led by Rev. Fr. Alex Prashant Sequeira, Director, ODP, Mysuru. This was followed with paying homage to late Rev. Fr. J. B. Xavier, Member of KROSS Governing Board and late Mrs. Savithree, field animator of PAUSTIK program, Kalaburgi.

Most. Rev. Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi & President, KROSS welcomed Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru & Vice-President, KROSS, Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shivamogga, Fr. Richard Pais, Diocesan Social Work Directors & Assistant Directors, Director, KROSS and Team. He then requested the members to actively participate and give their ideas for successful execution of the projects and asked the Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS to read the minutes of the previous meeting.

The Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS presented the minutes of the previous Governing Board Meeting which was held on 12.02.2020 and the matters discussed on 21.09.2020 during the annual general body meeting. The house deliberated on the minutes and unanimously accepted the minutes which were then proposed to be passed by Rev. Fr. Abraham Areeparambil, Director, MSSS, Bhadravathi and seconded by Rev. Fr. Reginald Pinto, Director Sampada, Udupi.

The Manager-Program Support/Project Officers of KROSS then presented the report of the programmes implemented directly and through the 14 Diocesan Social Work Societies in the State of Karnataka. The Members appreciated the reports and the provided suggestions.

There was a small program arranged to introduce and welcome:

1. Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao, Bishop of Shivamogga who took over as the President, KROSS from the outgoing President, Most. Rev. Gerald Lobo.

2. Rev. Fr. Richard Pais who would be taking charge as Secretary/Treasurer/Director, KROSS from Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernandes with effect from 03.05.2021

3. Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru was felicitated and bid farewell on his relinquishing the post of Vice-President, KROSS.

4. Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Lobo was felicitated for having led KROSS as the President for the past 20 years. He has now taken over as Vice-President, KROSS.

Most Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru who would be celebrating his birthday during this month was warmly wished by one and all.

Rev. Fr. Clifford Roshan Pinto proposed the vote of thanks and Rt. Rev. Dr. K. A. William, Bishop of Mysuru concluded with a prayer and blessings.
