Survivor - Centred Assistance in the Safeguarding Policy 2023
The CRS team conducted an on line orientation on 11-12-2023, aiming to discuss Survivor -
Centred Assistance in the Safeguarding Policy. Mr. Anil Sebastian, Coordinator for
Safeguarding Program attended the meeting.
The meeting commenced with an overview of survivor assistance, emphasizing its
importance in the context of our safeguarding policy. The discussion focused on identifying
gaps in the current safeguarding policy concerning survivor assistance.
This involved assessing potential challenges survivors may face and exploring ways to
address them effectively. A significant part of the meeting cantered around the need for
training programs to educate staff about survivor assistance and the importance of
maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Strategies for raising awareness across the
organization were discussed.
The meeting concluded with a discussion on the next steps, including creating effective links
around our organization, for the survivor assistance basically nearby health centres, NGOs,
legal assistance and emergency centres etc.
Overall, the online meeting served as a valuable platform for sharing insights. We are
committed to implementing survivor assistance improvements that align with our
organization's safeguarding policy.
