Karnataka Regional Organization for Social Service (KROSS) is a non-profit, secular and non-political Organization established in 1983 and is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960 in 1989. (Registration No.115/89-90 dated 06.12.1989)
KROSS with its 14 member organizations renders multifarious services among more than 825,000 poor people in more than 4360 villages in 176 taluks in 30 districts of Karnataka especially in the areas of Women Empowerment, Health, Community Resilience to HIV/AIDS, Child Rights, Good Governance, Natural Resource Management, Capacity Building, Micro Enterprises for Poverty Alleviation and Career Advancement Programme without discriminating on the basis of caste, creed and race.
Credibility Alliance Certificate: KROSS is a 30 years old, state level, established Organisation and has a clean image as a credible Organisation among all stakeholders. It was good to note that there were very positive results of 8 external evaluations that were conducted by various agencies for their CAPART programs, which re-established their credibility among government agencies. The Organisation is recognized & valued towards upliftment of the downtrodden people in Karnataka.
KROSS is registered under 12A and has 80G Tax exemption under Income Tax Act 1961. KROSS is also registered under Ministry of Home Affairs under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA).
